Inspiring young people to pursue STEM careers

On Tuesday 25th May, we supported a careers carousel event for Year 5 pupils at Greatwood Primary School in Skipton, North Yorkshire.
We supported a safety and rescue training course at Clitheroe Canoe Club, using our mini river flume to explore dynamic water environments.
Our coastal wave tank provided an interactive activity for visitors to the National Railway Museum in York during British Science Week.
A flood hydrology roadmap released in March 2022 sets out a vision to help scientists and practitioners better predict future flood events and improve flood resilience across the UK.

JBA Trust were delighted to support the inaugural Institution of Civil Engineers David Butler Award, designed to inspire young people to consider careers in civil engineering.
We were pleased to support British Science Week activities at Addingham Primary School, West Yorkshire, running interactive augmented reality sandbox sessions for Year 6 pupils.
On Friday 18th February we supported a safety awareness day for all Year 7 pupils at Upper Wharfedale School in North Yorkshire, demonstrating the new water safety flume.
We have developed a water safety demonstration flume in partnership with North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Hydrotec Consultants.
We delivered mini flume and flooding workshops for Year 3 and 4 pupils from Burnsall and Grassington primary schools on Wednesday 8th December.
