Learning about hazards in the natural environment

During week commencing 20th June, students at Queen Ethelburga’s School near York used the JBA Trust augmented reality sandbox to learn about hazards in the natural environment.

Iain Willis from JBA Risk Management demonstrated the model to students, including Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils who are currently studying an extreme earth topic.

The sandbox provides an interactive experience, allowing students to create landscapes, learn about contours, experiment with virtual rain and consider flood risk.

If the JBA Trust models would be useful for your work with students, professional groups or communities, please contact us for more details.
