Sandbox demonstration at university STEM fair
Students attending Edge Hill University’s STEM Volunteering and Placement Fair were able to learn about managing flood risk while using JBA Trust’s interactive sandbox.
Inspiring careers in the environment sector
On Wednesday 13th November, Skipton Girls High School held a careers fair for students interested in joining their sixth form. By speaking to businesses and universities, students were able to find out about possible careers and the types of qualifications they need to reach their career goal.

JBA Trust has developed a range of freely available educational resources to support learning about flood and coastal risk management.
Internship: researching links between extreme weather events and climate change
Julian Shield joined us for five weeks in September 2019 to research Extreme Event Attribution. He found that 40 of the 41 heatwaves investigated between 2011 and 2017 were attributable to climate change.
