Interactive geography day for secondary school pupils
On Thursday 16th January, JBA Trust and the University of Nottingham delivered an ‘Interactive Geography Day’ for 120 Year 8 pupils at Ermysted’s Grammar School in Skipton.
Sixth form students learn about flood risk management
On Friday 9th December sixth form students from Priestley College in Warrington visited their local Environment Agency office to learn about flood risk management. JBA Trust supported the event by providing demonstrations of our augmented reality sandbox.

On Thursday 28th November, JBA Trust visited Grassington Primary School in the Yorkshire Dales where pupils are learning about rivers, with a focus on the local River Wharfe.

Sandbox demonstration at university STEM fair
Students attending Edge Hill University’s STEM Volunteering and Placement Fair were able to learn about managing flood risk while using JBA Trust’s interactive sandbox.
Inspiring careers in the environment sector
On Wednesday 13th November, Skipton Girls High School held a careers fair for students interested in joining their sixth form. By speaking to businesses and universities, students were able to find out about possible careers and the types of qualifications they need to reach their career goal.
