Virtual STEM ambassador showcase for school teachers

On Tuesday 9 March, JBA Trust took part in a virtual ambassador showcase for teachers and schools located along the North Yorkshire coast. The event was organised by the Yorkshire STEM Hub and the Coastal Science Network.

The event involved ten STEM ambassadors each providing a 3 minute lightening talk to teachers about what their work involves and highlighting how they can support learning in schools.

Bridget Brady, Engagement Officer at JBA Trust, attended the event and provided an overview of the Trust’s educational engagement activities, including our river and coastal demonstration models, school visits and educational resources.

Bridget commented “It was great to be involved in the ambassador showcase, to provide an overview of how JBA Trust can support the educational curriculum in schools and also to hear about the fantastic work undertaken by STEM ambassadors in the North Yorkshire region”.
