JBA Trust supports ClimateJust
ClimateJust is a new initiative jointly funded by the Environment Agency and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and delivered by the University of Manchester. It aims to create a set of web-based decision-support resources for practitioners to assist them in delivering socially just responses to climate change.
Rachel Brisely is providing guidance on climate change adaptation to the Project Advisory Group based on her experience as Technical Director for Climate Change and Adaptation at JBA Consulting.
ClimateJust will provide practical resources and signpost existing tools that help to embed social justice in the strategy-setting and actions of a range of key organisations with a role in responding to climate change at a local level. They will include local authorities, health and social care providers, housing organisations, voluntary and community organisations, and others. It is also anticipated that this material could be used by communities themselves in supporting local action.
