The Still Dynamic: A new book of water photographs by Keith Beven

Keith Beven is a trustee of the JBA Trust and one of the world’s most highly cited hydrologists who specialises in measuring and modelling how water moves through the landscape.

It is remarkable that as well as his output of hydrological papers and books, Keith has spent rather a lot of his free time taking photographs of water. This has now resulted in a book, The Still Dynamic, just published by the Mallerstang Magic Press, in a limited edition of 100 signed copies.

The book includes images of surface reflections and skypools, surface caustics and caustic sheets, frozen waters, water waves, waterfalls and the marks of past water taken over the last 25 years.

The Still Dynamic is a collection of Keith’s favourite photographs and  includes a foreword written by the photographer and image maker Paul Kenny.

It can be ordered from the Mallerstang Magic website and all profits from the sales will be donated to the charity WaterAid.

Some more examples of the images included the book are shown below.
