TeenTech Lancashire 2026
This year’s TeenTech Festival at the University of Lancashire was an inspiring day that brought together more than 2,000 students, teachers, and industry professionals to explore the world of science, technology, and innovation.
JBA Trust joined lots of other organisations in delivering engaging, hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity. We introduced students to the challenges of flood risk management, using our interactive wave tank to demonstrate how science and engineering can help protect communities and the environment.
Events like TeenTech play a crucial role in connecting students with industry, enabling them to discover diverse pathways into science, technology, and digital careers.
Bea Geldard, Asset Owner at JBA Trust said: “TeenTech is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and speak with young people around the career pathways available in STEM. It was great to see so much enthusiasm for engineering and to watch students work through the challenge of designing effective coastal defences, applying classroom knowledge using the JBA Trust’s physical models.”
We’re proud to support the development of future scientists, engineers and innovators and we look forward to returning next year. Thanks to Bea Geldard and Katie Gill from JBA Consulting for delivering the wave tank sessions.
