New research shows climate change increased UK flood risk
New research with the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, JBA Risk Management, CICERO Centre for International Climate Research, the University of Oxford and JBA Trust shows past greenhouse gas emissions are likely to have increased the chance of the flooding in winter 2013/2014 in many parts of Great Britain.
Detailed impacts analysis shows how this translated into an increased risk of households being flooded in the Thames valley, even after taking flood defences into account.
