About the JBA Trust

No 1 Broughton Park

JBA Trust was created in 2011 as an independent charity that supports research and promotes the development of knowledge and skills in environmental risk management, especially in the water environment.

We work with leading academic researchers, NGOs, charities and the JBA Group of companies to:

  • provide water management training and education in schools and in the flood risk management community;
  • provide training opportunities through placements and internships;
  • support post-graduate education through provision of technical expertise and financial bursaries for MSc and PhD studentships;
  • help with knowledge exchange, sharing best practice and providing training resources for relevant professions
  • support, sponsor and deliver high quality research.

We are a not-for-profit foundation, legally separate from the JBA Group and independently governed by a board of Trustees.  Our core funding comes from the JBA Group of companies and we also seek to gain external sources of funding where appropriate.  If you would like to make a donation to support our work please visit our online giving page.

As a member of the Association of Charitable Foundations, we support their vision of diverse, vibrant and effective foundations, working together for social good.
